CIBC’s Simplii Financial Expands Workforce in New Brunswick

The CIBC contact centre in Fredericton has been in operation since 2001 and has continued to grow its workforce in the capital city ever since. Diana Solakov, HR Project Manager, says the recent launch of CIBC’s Simplii Financial brand has the company ready to grow again in 2018.

New Brunswick CIBC Simplii Financial ONB Workforce Strategists have worked with Solakov and her team to promote the company’s latest hiring rounds via social media and email campaigns. “ONB’s Workforce Strategy Team has been extremely helpful with our recruitment efforts,” says Solakov. “Their work has driven plenty of traffic to our postings and connected us with some great applicants. So far, we have been able to hit all of our hiring targets. It’s fantastic to see their level of engagement and drive; they are really keen to help people find work and connect companies like ours with great employees.”

Seventeen Years and Counting

Solakov says the company has made its long-term commitment to New Brunswick due to the province’s combination of available talent and advantageous location. “We’re a national contact centre, so operating in the Atlantic Time Zone helps give us great coast-to-coast coverage. That coupled with the workforce we have been able to build make staying in New Brunswick a no-brainer.”

Simplii Financial is CIBC’s new direct banking brand launched in November 2017. As a direct bank with no physical locations, Simplii Financial’s launch has sharply increased call volumes at the company’s contact centre, resulting in the need for this increased recruitment of Personal Banking Representatives (PBRs) in New Brunswick.
