In 2014, New Brunswick became the first Canadian province to commit to the promotion of teaching basic computer science skills as part of a broader agenda for advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Via CyberSmartNB, one of the five components of CyberNB, the province is now working with academic partners to promote excellence in cybersecurity education. Today we highlight our recent chat with one such partner, Dr. Natalia Stakhanova, Founding Director and CEO of New Brunswick’s CyberLaunch Academy. Dr. Stakhanova discusses the Academy’s vision, her passion for bringing more girls into computer science, American students coming to New Brunswick for courses, and more.
